Company Overview

Our Company, Minu Interactive, Inc., is located in Novi, MI, in close proximity to the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) where tech, medical, and research resources are abundant. Our company was founded in 2001 and provided systematic weight control and health management services to Koreans and Health-related Web sites (major newspaper web sites in Korea, donga.com and joins.com) from 2003 to 2005 as one of the first ventures providing subscription-based personalized health management services in South Korea.

To help individuals manage their health in a simple and innovative way, we launched an online weight and health management program for the US market in 2007 after 2 years of R & D efforts, targeting organizations as well as individual customers. Nutriinfo.com strives to bring innovations to health management. By providing highest level of convenience, personalization, privacy, and support through our services, we hope to encourage and motivate members to pursue and maintain a healthy lifestyle and, in the process, build trust and close relationships with other members or health professionals for their lifetime health.

Founder

Nutriinfo.com was developed and is being managed by Miyoung (Mia) Jang, Ph.D. and a team of experts in nutrition and technology. She obtained her Ph.D. in human nutrition from Michigan State University. Her research focus was to find out mechansims responsible for obesity by looking at the effects of Leptin on neurotransmitters such as NPY and CRH in mice. Leptin brought high expectations for treating human obesity among researchers in mid-1990, but it was found that humans have resistance to it.

In terms of treating or preventing obesity, there won't be a magic bullet. Healthy eating, exercising on a regular basis, and developing healthy lifestyles are keys to managing weight. Helping individuals apply these simple basics in a daily life has become her passion. This is how Nutriinfo was created to provide people with convenient online tools that they can access anytime, anywhere, for managing their weight and improving health. She is actively involved in content and program development, as a nutritionist and a web developer, utilizing her expertise in nutrition/health and skills in technology.

Her mission is to develop an innovative health management program that engages individuals and health professionals in a simple way, providing convenience and flexibility to both parties for the health management. She believes that implementation of technology in health care will not only improve its quality but also help save on health care cost.
